Pictures and case studies

Unless a page says otherwise, the work shown on this site was made by Kymat for Kymat, as studio work rather than for a paying client. Nothing here claims a client who did not commission it.

Liability

We write these pages carefully and correct mistakes when we find them. Links to other sites are checked when we add them, and what happens on those sites afterwards is not ours to control.

Privacy

The short version. This site sets no cookies. It runs no advertising pixel, no Meta pixel and no Google Analytics. The typefaces sit on our own server, so your browser never asks Google for them. Nothing here builds a profile of you. If you write to us, we keep what you wrote so that we can answer.

Who is responsible

Kymat, a sole proprietorship based in Switzerland, decides why and how the data described here is processed. For any question, or to exercise any of the rights below, write to hello@kymatstudio.com. We answer in writing.

What this site does not do

No cookies are set, at any point, for any purpose. There is no advertising or social pixel, no cross-site tracking, no profiling and no automated decision making. Nothing you do here is sold or handed to anyone for their own purposes.

What is stored, and why

Server logs. Our hosting provider records the usual technical detail of every request: the IP address, the browser type, the moment and the page. This keeps the site up and lets us see an attack. These logs are short lived and we do not use them to recognise you.

Counting visits. We count visits with a cookieless tool that reports numbers only: how many people came, roughly from where, and which pages they opened. It does not identify anyone and it does not follow anyone to another website.

Settings your browser keeps. Four small values are stored inside your own browser so the site behaves: the language you chose, whether the opening animation has already played, whether the menu was open, and anything you put in the services list. They stay on your device, they are never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes them.

What you send us. When you finish Let's talk or the briefing form, we keep what you filled in: your name, your business, your email address or phone number, your budget and timing if you gave them, the services you picked and every answer you wrote. We also keep which page you were on, which language you used and, if your browser sends it, the site you came from. We keep this so we can answer you properly, and so that an enquiry is never lost when an email programme fails to open. The forms tell you this before you send.

Where it is kept

Enquiries are stored in a database hosted in Zurich, Switzerland. Access is limited to Kymat and protected by a key. The connection is encrypted end to end.

Who else is involved

Two providers process data for us, under contract, and only on our instructions.

When you send your message, your own email programme or WhatsApp also handles it. That part travels through your provider, under their terms, not ours.

Why we are allowed to

We process an enquiry in order to answer it and to prepare a possible contract, and because we have a legitimate interest in running a working, secure website and in not losing the messages people send us. Where the law requires consent, we ask for it and you may withdraw it at any time.

How long we keep it

An enquiry that does not turn into work is deleted automatically twenty four months after it arrived. If we work together, the project record is kept for ten years, because Swiss accounting law says so. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner and we will.

Your rights

You may ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, ask us to stop, or ask for a copy in a portable form. Write to hello@kymatstudio.com and we will answer within thirty days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner in Bern, and if you are in the European Union, to your national supervisory authority.

Changes

If what we do changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves.
